First fruit offerings of love to God: Deuteronomy 25 and 26

This day the Lod your God commands you to do these statutes and ordinances. You shall therefore be careful to do them with all your heart and with all your soul. You have today declared the Lord to be your God, and that you would walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments and His ordinances, and listen to His voice. The Lord has today declared you to be His people, a treasured possession, as He promised you, and that you should keep all His commandments; and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor; and that you shall be a consecrated people to the Lord your God, as He has spoken.

Dedication of the Tabernacle and foreshadowing of the Messiah: Numbers 7 and 8

030_114I wonder what the energy level of the Israelites was like on the day that Moses had finished setting up the Tabernacle? Was there an awe and reverence of God? Were the millions of men, women, and children pressing in to see just a glimpse of the Tabernacle? In Numbers chapters 7 we get a little of the feeling of what took place when the Tabernacle was completed. What blessing God bestowed upon Moses. Abram becomes Abraham – the father of many: Genesis 17 and 18

What is in a name? Why did God change Abram’s name to Abraham? I think about what a name means today and it seems like a name is just a way that we can identify someone. However God used Abraham because it means father of many which is what his identity now was. Who am I to my Lord? What name would God give me? I will only know once I reach heaven. Continue Reading…
