Weathering a stormy moment of crisis: Psalm 11

A moment of crisis and indecision is before you. The decision you make effects your family and friends. In your mind one way will bring hope for tomorrow and the other brings ruin and despair but you cannot know with any certainty what to do. Sleepless nights, futile advice from friends and self-help books offer no respite. What do you do in this moment?

God’s promise to Abraham and a prayer prayed: 1 Chronicles 3 and 4

When you read through 1 Chronicles chapters 3 and 4 you will again find a detailed genealogy. Take hope knowing that God never casually gives a promise to us. Continue Reading…

I would imagine that the people would stop grumbling but they started up again complaining about the food that God was providing. How crazy is that! God was supplying what they needed but they were not thankful for that. The lie that freedom was found in their bondage in Egypt and not in God had poisoned the peoples thoughts so they didn’t see the truth that their freedom was through and in God. Continue Reading…
