Can you imagine the splendor of the Temple that Solomon built to the Lord on Mount Moriah? We are given a brief, yet precise, summary of the materials and items that were collected and assembled with great craftsmanship in of 2 Chronicles 3 and 4. Is there any building that exists today that can compare to the majesty of the Temple? Why was the Temple so richly adorned? Abraham’s faith an encouragement to all: Genesis 23 and 24
What a great example of faith Abraham is to me. He was so open with his faith in God that even his servants came o have a strong faith. After my life is complete I wish that I could have that type of impact on the world through my life alone. Am I living out my faith in an infectious way? I hope andy pray that God would use me in a way to reach people like Abraham. I am also amazed at God’s faithfulness and lovingkindness. How is it that He cares enough for us to be concerned with us. Being single it is difficult to imagine life other than what I have but the story of Isaac shows that you never know what God has planned for His people.
A foreshadowing of Jesus Christ in the thicket: Genesis 21 and 22
What did the scene look like when Abraham went to sacrifice his son Isaac? It makes me wonder about the scene. I think it is easy for me to overlook the story as a quick event. In reality Abraham and Isaac set up the altar for the sacrifice. When Abraham bound Isaac I think is was the hardest thing he had ever been called to do. It wasn’t an automaton that went to sacrifice on the mountain. It was a loving father who I imagine cried and hurt as he followed God’s command. I wonder how Isaac felt? He must have been terrified being bound and having a knife ready to kill him. What an image of love. The love for God and the love of a father and son. Continue Reading…

However God used Abraham because it means father of many which is what his identity now was. Who am I to my Lord? What name would God give me? I will only know once I reach heaven. Continue Reading…
