The latest and greatest, a humorous look at amputation
So i just found out that I am going to be having surgery on this upcoming Monday the 30th. I really hope it is a morning surgery because I hate being told I can’t have breakfast or lunch… that is cruel and unusual punishment. So I suppose you may wonder why I am having surgery and what is happening. Well I have ‘interesting’ feet that have been getting fixed over the last few years. Well I ended up with a sore and infection in one of my toes on my right foot so the best course of action is to amputate the toes. Continue Reading…
The lord is a warrior…
I think it is easy to wonder if God is really for me? In the midst of my sin and despair when I feel unloved does God love me and is He for me? i just read The Rising Hope by Charles R Swindoll and was hit hard by the fact that God is for me even in my sin and despair. I think many times I find my heart, mind, and thoughts clouded by my failures and sinning. I think that many times I am so unworthy of any grace that God extends because if he only knew how evil and bad I am. Thankfully I am wrong! God is always for me as Romans 8:31 proclaims. How do I internalize these truths?
A perspective on valentines day
It is interesting to look at how people look at Valentines Day. You have the couples who celebrate their love for each other. The single men and women who are troubled because they do not have someone to celebrate with. Then you have everyone else who tries to make the the day work for everyone whether it is looking at the true meaning of the day or just celebrating it with friends by sharing card and words of encouragement. I admire and love Valentines day but it is not because it is a holiday of love but because of the love I experienced on the 14th of February three years ago. Continue Reading…
Two steps towards forever
I am amazed to look back at where I have come in the last few years. I seem to be always coming to this point where I am always looking back at my life with a great sense of amazement. I suppose the reason I keep having these moments of refection comes from my amazement that I am actually doing good. I could have lost my foot and my health could have declined. It is only by God’s grace that I am here today. Continue Reading…
A mirror into life from reflections on God
I have been reading through all of my blog entries that I have written since 2005. The theme throughout the entries is “God is faithful and my trust, hope and being is only found in Him.” I had forgotten all of the turmoil that I went through over the years. It is amazing to feel the despairing I felt with all of my medical problems yet I never lost faith in God’s perfect will for my life. I am humbled because I am faithless!
“It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:11-13

Tea with a sip of strength from my Everlasting God
So I have started a new hobby recently. I have been going to Teavana and buying loose leaf tea to make at home. It is very addicting to buy various kinds of teas because you can blend the different kinds of teas together to get different tastes. I am at Caribou Coffee and I brought my tea from home some Rooibos Rose Garden, Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls, and Queen of Babylon. Well I have to say that this blend of tea is the best one I have tried yet. It has a smooth taste but a very floral finish and aftertaste. There is a very green taste to the tea which is probably from the Jasmine Pearls but I think it blends well overall. Continue Reading…
An update is in order about college and working out
So it has only been about 6 months since my last blog entry so I thought it might be a good idea to make an entry. So what has happened since then…
I am in the last week of school at UW-Milwaukee and I am very happy to be done with this last semester. Now I wish there was a summer full of leisure and relaxation but sadly there will be none. I am taking a full load of classes this summer so that I will be able to graduate a year from now. I only need 30 credits to get my Bachelor of Science in Information Resources (BSIR). I have no idea what I am really going to be doing with that degree but I do know that people with that skill set are in high demand. I guess I do actually know what I could do but there are too many things to choose from. Continue Reading…
Thoughts on God – The insurmountable truth of the Nature of God
I have been reading The Knowledge of The Holy by A.W. Tozer over the past month. I find myself obsessing over who God truly is. How can I a created being know who God is! I feel like I have never fully appreciated the depth and breadth of the knowledge void in my mind regarding the nature of God. I find my mind overloaded as I try to sort out these awesome truths of scripture. I hope to encourage everyone as I take this journey of faith. Continue Reading…
Amazing truth in the presence of an amazing God
“Lord, how great is our dilemma! In Thy Presence silence best becomes us, but love inflates our hearts and constrains us to speak.
Were we to hold our peace the stones would cry out; yet if we speak what shall we say? Teach us to know that we cannot know, for the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Let faith support us where reason fails, and we shall think because we believe, not in order that we may believe.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
