Rubber meets road – belief when the world seems to crash around you

Photo 248Today will be an interesting day. I have an unexpected doctor appointment today. My world may be in upheaval later today. I was at the gym today and I had a great workout. In fact I had a great week of working out at the gym. Well today I took time to inspect my feet which I do frequently because of all the surgeries that I have had. Well today I found a callous on my heel which after looking at closer had been hiding an abscess. Well I am amazed that my initial reaction was joy. I am worried but I am able to take joy in that fact that God is able to care for me. I do not know what this afternoon’s doctor appointment will hold but I count it as an opportunity to trust God and watch His beautiful story unfold. If you think of it today please be praying for me.

It would be all too easy to give in to despair and lose hope because I do not know how my foot is doing. That can be the case for many people. I however have been running to God in desperate urgency because I know that He is the only one who can help me in this moment. Please know that this time of my life is difficult but I trust beyond a doubt that God is able to help me. May he be glorified through this time in my life.

So I saw the doctor this afternoon and he didn’t seem too concerned about whatever is happening. I will see my surgeon on Tuesday to see what is going on. So for now all is okay I think. I just need to take it easy which is very counterintuitive for me.
