When the sacrifices were made for their sins the person for whom the sacrifice had their hands in direct involvement. I had not noticed the fact that the person would hold the head of the animal before killing it. What must have been the impact on the people? It was a sacrifice for their sin. Did they see that they were spared and the animal took the punishment? Looking at how directly the peoples were involved in the sacrifice for their sins it makes me sick to think about how much I am involved in the sin place upon Christ. Oh how wicked I am. I am so thankful for the gift Jesus gave but I had my hand involved in it and I cannot take that lightly. It makes me ashamed and sad…
