All the generations who moved into Egypt. The new pharaoh had no memory or knowledge of Joseph. I think it is interesting how time has and affect on us. I wonder if the people of Israel were like a frog in a slowly warming pot a water. Did they not notice any problem at first? I think what I wrestle with is the fact that God is sovereign in all he does. I see pain, injustice, and wrong through my eyes but God sees His perfect will and work. If it were not for God’s faithfulness to us we would be lost.
I also wonder if God waits for a point where we are no longer comfortable. It is easy to forget about who God is and what He has done when we are happy and life is fine but I think it is altogether different when we face overwhelming hardship. In those times I have found that I truly turn to God for help.
