So in Genesis 9 and 10 we have a lot of changes happening in the life of mankind. It is amazing to see how man now used animals as food. Before the flood man was given plants and seed for food (Genesis 1:29) and after the flood God gives man the ability, laws, and right to eat animals. (Genesis 8:2-4). What was the world like before the man and animals feared each other? What would it have been like to walk up to a lion without fear?
The flood wiped out all human life on earth except for Noah and his family. It is amazing to see how corrupt all of mankind is inherently because we are so far from where God left Noah and his family. We always turn to our own way and never desire to stay where God desires us. God gave us a reminder in the Rainbow that he will not destroy all life with a flood again but how often to we remember that promise when we look at a rainbow. I saw the most amazing rainbow last week which was caused by the light from a setting sun hitting a thin ultra white cloud. It was only present for a minute but I was in awe of how God’s promise was present in that moment as a reminder to me of His faithfulness.
